The theme of this Conference is "Global Interdependence and Decision Sciences". The Conference would accordingly deal with the application of quantitative and behavioural methods to the problems of society. It seeks to provide an international forum to serve current and future needs of the academia, practitioners from the industry as well as the governments by facilitating sharing of new and innovative ideas and research in the decision models, processes and uses across disciplines. True to its theme, the Conference aims at highlighting the dividends that would come about through inter-institutional collaborative and cooperative efforts in the increasingly 'flat' world.

Going by the interest the Conference has generated among the academia and practitioners and if the number of abstracts and/or full research papers received is any indication, it is envisaged that about 120 delegates would attend the Conference and upwards of 100 research papers would be presented. It is heartening that the international community accounts for more than a third of the papers contributed.
